Mr Leonard Tan conferred Highest Youth Accolade

Mr Leonard Tan, CEO of PurpleClick Media has received the Singapore Youth Award (SYA) 2010 from Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defense on 4 July 2010. He was awarded SYA 2010 in the Entrepreneurship category for his compassion, inspiration, drive, tenacity and passion displayed in his pursuit of excellence and contributions to the community.

In his recent interview with TODAY newspaper, he commented, “In business ... it’s so easy to give up today or tomorrow but the thing is, if you have a positive mindset, you probably see the glass half full rather than half empty.”

Throughout his illustrious career, Mr. Tan has garnered multiple accolades such as the Rotary-ASME’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2009 and was named one of Asia’s “Top 25 Best Young Entrepreneurs” by BusinessWeek in 2008.

His piece of advice to aspiring business owners is "Entrepreneurship is all about having a positive mindset. One should not focus on the problem, he needs to focus on the solutions!"

In addition, PurpleClick was the winner of 2 awards at the Marketing Magazine's Agency of the Year Awards 2010 - Top Winner, Search Marketing Agency 2010 (Local Category) and Silver Award, Search Marketing Agency 2010 (Global Category).
